In addition to Chinese friends, I believe that many foreign friends also know China's National Day. But the understanding is not very detailed. Here, I want to introduce you to China`s National Day.

On October 1, 1949, the inauguration ceremony of the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China, the founding ceremony, was held in Beijing's Tiananmen Square.

"The earliest proposed "National Day" was the then CPPCC member and the chief representative of Minjin, Mr. Ma Xulun."

On October 9, 1949, the first National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held its first meeting. Commissioner Xu Guangping said: "Mr. Ma Xulun can't come on leave. He asked me to say that the establishment of the People's Republic of China should have a National Day. Therefore, I hope that this Council will decide to set October 1 as National Day." Mr. Lin Boqu also spoke. Ask for a discussion decision. The meeting adopted the proposal of "Please ask the government to make the National Day of October of the People's Republic of China to replace the old National Day on October 10" and send it to the Central People's Government for selection and implementation.

On December 2, 1949, the resolution adopted by the Fourth Session of the Central People's Government Committee pointed out: "The Committee of the Central People's Government declares that since 1950, it is the greatness of the People's Republic of China announced on October 1 of each year. The day is the National Day of the People's Republic of China."

This is to determine "October 1st" as the "birthday" of the People's Republic of China, that is, the "National Day".

Since 1950, every October 1st has become a festival celebrated by the people of all ethnic groups in China.
